Kate Ashman is a Vermont-born artist who finds inspiration in experimentation. She likes to play with different media and non-traditional materials, which she uses in conjunction with acrylic paints to create sculptural collage-like effects with a textured tactile quality, often taking a literal subject and abstracting it.
